- Schweitzer Mountain Resort has announced the tentative opening date for the 2019-20 season will be Nov. 29. Season passes and lesson packages are now on sale, with discounted pricing until Oct. 31.

- Girl Scouts from Service Unit 443 are hosting a family fun night from 4-6 p.m. on Sept. 21, at Bluegrass Park, 6056 N. Courcelles Parkway in Coeur d’Alene Place. Activities include building and launching rockets, an obstacle course, disc golf and more. Snacks will be provided. Meet local troop leaders and make new friends.

- Post Falls School District has two Board of Trustee openings for Zone 2 and Zone 3, for the upcoming election on Nov. 5. The deadline for candidacy is this Friday. For information visit the Kootenai County Elections office website at www.kcgov.us/31/Elections.

- Panhandle Health is offering back-to-school immunization clinics from 5 to 7 p.m. every Thursday until Sept. 12., at 8500 N. Ramsey Road. All major insurance plans accepted. For those with no insurance, only a nominal administration fee will be charged.
