ROETTER: Reasons for support

Would you please consider voting for Matt Roetter’s second term on the Hayden City Council? Matt is very involved in our Hayden community. Matt and Karen have lived in Hayden for 38 years and their three daughters attended our local schools.

As part of a small early morning exercise group, I have worked out with Matt three times a week for several years. As I have gotten to know him, I have learned he has a wide range of interests and is very committed to doing his very best in whatever he involves himself. He has asked our small group for our opinions on various matters before the Hayden City Council and he has listened and heard what our concerns are. He has talked about meeting with other Hayden residents to get a feel for what they think.

From our conversations, it is obvious he does careful research before making decisions. Matt is fully involved with his family. He and Karen — Matt does the cooking — host a weekly family dinner for their three daughters, their husbands and eight grandchildren and a mother-in-law. Much of the meal — and most meals — come from a large garden that is Matt’s pride and joy. Grandkids and their parents enjoy the produce … think more than 30 tomato plants.

From the benefit of years of interaction with Matt, I admire him as honest, enthusiastic, considerate of others’ opinions and interested in what others are thinking. He is willing to ask uncomfortable questions. Matt is fully committed to doing his best for the community!
