June Elaine Bechard, 77
June Elaine Bechard passed away suddenly on Oct. 16, 2019, at her home in Twin Lakes, Idaho, at the age of 77. June Elaine grew up in Bristol, Conn.; the daughter of Violet Athayde. She moved to Idaho in 2015 to enjoy retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Bechard; her sons Craig, Steven (and his wife, Judi),and Curt-Randall (and his wife, Jan). She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Austin, Creighton, Kellen, Avery and Braylyn Bayer.
June was born and raised in Bristol, where she was married to Keith in 1989, at Rockwell Park. She graduated from Bristol Central High School and from various professional development classes she took during her career. June was employed as an administrative assistant for multiple organizations and retired from the Connecticut Lottery.
Her interests included writing poetry and playing golf with her husband. She was never too busy to design and give customized cards for any occasion. A few of her accomplishments included being active in creating and hosting the public television show “June B’s Buzz,” being a Toastmasters member and supporting her husband’s involvement in the local Marine Corps League.
During her lifetime, her primary focus was her family. A devout Catholic, June Elaine emphasized the importance of unity, faith and love. She will be most missed for her smile, her sense of humor and her patience.
June was always known for her advice. Her family will always remember her sitting, tapping her sons’ or grandchildren’s leg, and saying things like “listen to Grammie — keep your faith, maintain your sense of humor and seize the day.”
A Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 27 Kellogg Ave., Kellogg, ID 83837. There will be a small reception following the service at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to Silver Valley Marine Corps League, attn: Major Petersen (retired) at Kellogg High School.
