WOOD: Law enforcers salute her

| October 18, 2019 1:00 AM

The Coeur d’Alene Police Association and the Kootenai County Deputy Sheriffs Association are committed to serving the citizens of our community while reducing crime and increasing the quality of life for those we serve. We look for candidates for elected office who share our values and echo our deep seeded commitment to keeping our community safe. We believe we have found such a candidate in Christie Wood and are pleased to endorse her for Council Seat 1.

Christie is a retired law enforcement officer with the Coeur d’Alene police who spent 26 years tirelessly working alongside Deputies and Officers with strength, honor, courage and compassion. She is also an Air Force Veteran who served our country as a law enforcement specialist. Christie’s ties to this community run deep as she served eight years with the Coeur d’Alene school board and is currently in her 15th year as a trustee with North Idaho College.

We are confident that Christie’s proven leadership skills and extensive experience with growth management, public safety and public budgets make her the perfect candidate for the Coeur d’Alene City Council. Christie understands the unique issues affecting first responders and has proven her commitment to those in our community who keep us safe. We’re confident she’ll continue to do so.

We ask you to vote for Christie Wood on Nov. 5.
