Get crafty with the 3Cs
The snow at the end of September was a frigid reminder that the holidays are just around the corner.
Long before calendars turn to December, shoppers can get a head start on their Christmas shopping when they visit the 3Cs (Cancer and Community Charities) Holiday Craft Fair at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds on Oct. 26 and 27.
The two-day craft bonanza will feature quilters, gift baskets, jewelry, pressed glass, etched glass, Christmas items, seasonal décor and more. David James Barbecue (formerly D-J's Pit Beef) will also be on site.
"We have plenty of vendors," 3Cs Holiday Craft Fair co-chair Suzi Wong said Tuesday. "We put the word out so we’re getting everybody we can get."
Returning for its third year, the fair will be held at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 4056 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene.
"It's a nice eclectic group of quality crafts," Wong said. "It’s that time of the year. There's going to be a little something for everybody in there."
Proceeds from the fair will go to 3Cs, an organization of women volunteers who participate in activity groups to raise funds that they donate to different causes and charities in Kootenai County. Established in 1962, the ladies have given back more than $2 million.
The Holiday Craft Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 26 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27. Admission is $2.
