SPOKANE — The Gonzaga men’s basketball team put on a show in front of a standing-room only crowd at the 2019 Numerica Kraziness in the Kennel at the McCarthey Athletic Center on Saturday.

Fans were treated to special player and coaching staff introductions, a 3-point shootout, and a skills challenge, before an intrasquad scrimmage.

In the 3-point contest finals, Brock Ravet beat Admon Gilder for the 2019 title. Filip Petrusev showed off his all-around game, winning the skills challenge.

The blue squad defeated the white team, 43-23, in the 16-minute team scrimmage. Gilder scored a game-high 14 points. The grad transfer from Texas A&M made 5 of 7 from the field, including 3-for-3 from behind the arc. He also had a game-high three steals. Corey Kispert scored 11 points. The winning blue side made 55 percent of their shots from the field, including 5 of 11 from 3-point range.

Anton Watson, a freshman from Gonzaga Prep (and former Coeur d’Alene resident) had four points and six rebounds for the white team.

The Zags open the 2019-20 season with an exhibition at home against Lewis-Clark State on Nov. 1. The regular season will begin against Alabama State on Nov. 5.
