JoAnn Krueger (Livengood), 73

JoAnn Krueger (Livengood) passed away at her home in Post Falls, Idaho, on Sept. 20, 2019. She was 73 years young.

She was born on July 21, 1946, in Salisbury, N.C., to Harry and Tharon Livengood. She graduated from Orrick High School in Missouri.

JoAnn met and married her first husband; they had two sons, Richard and Jerry Wood. That marriage ended quickly. Then she met George Krueger and they had two daughters, Tanya and Lucinda Krueger.

JoAnn raised three of her children while being a stay-at-home mom until her marriage with George ended after 18 years. Then she ventured out and became a certified nursing assistant — a job which she enjoyed very much. Years later, she met Richard (Dick) Hensyel, who became her partner for six years. They enjoyed life together until he passed away. She had also worked as a customer service representative at Center Partners. She ended up having to retire early, at age 62, because of a car wreck.

JoAnn had a love for animals — from horses and dogs to cats and birds. She also liked to sew and cook, making no-bake cookies and breads. She loved to dance and enjoyed conversations and spending time with her family and friends. She had great pleasure in being able to babysit her grandchildren when she retired. She also cherished time with her great-grandchildren. JoAnn had an amazing heart and was an amazing mother, grandma, great-grandma, aunt and friend to many. She was always there when anyone needed her.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Tharon and Everett Shirley; her father, Harry Livengood; brothers, Ronald and Jerry Lee Livingood and half-brother, Garry Livengood. Survivors include her half-sister, Sharon Livengood Patterson of Georgia; half-brothers, Larry, Eugene, Wayne, Danny and Thomas Shirley, all of Missouri and Alabama; son, Jerry Wood and his girlfriend, Aoy Bunthago; daughter, Tanya Gosser and her husband, Don; daughter, Lucinda Kruger and her husband, Josh Stewart; grandchildren, Kyle Krueger, Domanick, Breanna, Autumn and Zoey Grosser, Destiny, Jenica and Brayden Wood, JadeAnn Grindle and Payton and Channing Stewart; and six great-grandchildren, all of Post Falls.

JoAnn will always be remembered and deeply missed by all.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Post Falls. Arrangements by Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls.
