Helen Corey, 92
Helen Corey, 92, passed away peacefully at Schneidmiller Hospice House of North Idaho on Nov. 25, 2019, with family by her side. Helen Marie McNurlin was born on March 3, 1927, in Spirit Lake, Idaho, where she attended school. She met Grant Corey in 1948, and they married on Jan. 7, 1949. Helen and Grant loved to travel, seeing much of the United States and Canada. They spent their free time hunting, fishing, camping and riding snowmobiles and motorcycles. They enjoyed an early retirement and loved spending time with their grandchildren. After retirement, Helen and Grant bought a home in Yuma, Ariz., where they made many friends and enjoyed cocktail hours and taking their dune buggy out on the desert.
Helen loved to golf and participated in local leagues for many years. She was a member of the Rambling Rovers and jumped at every opportunity to take in a musical or play. She was a devoted Mariners baseball fan, loved to walk with her neighbors and above all else, she loved spending time with her family.
