Kristen Marie Gessner, 30
Kristen Marie Gessner went to Heaven on Nov. 22, 2019. She was born on May 17, 1989, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to one of the funniest people she knew, her mother, Lisa Marie Gessner. Kristen attended Lake City High School. After high school, she worked at Goodwill. Shortly after she started the most rewarding job of them all, being a stay-at-home mother to her beautiful daughter, Madison Berry.
Kristen was diagnosed with juvenile Huntington’s disease in 2014. JHD is a rare neurodegenerative disorder of the central nervous system. At this time there is no cure. But Kristen was a fighter and maintained a happy and functional life beyond medical expectations.
Kristen’s hobbies included making crafts for ‘2 Local Girls’ with her mom, dad and daughter. 2 Local Girls was started by Lisa Gessner and Madison Berry to raise awareness and money for Huntington’s disease. She also loved going to the beach with family, watching soap operas with grandma, pizza party Tuesdays with papa and grandma, and watching car shows with papa. Kristen enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She looked forward to her rides with Uncle John and Granny and going to the movies with Grandma Jan, the dinners with her Aunt Georgia, Stacey and cousins, and last but not least, she loved planning themed birthday parties.
Kristen will be remembered for her quick wit, her big smile, her hugs and her kind heart. She will always be remembered in all of our hearts.
Kristen is preceded in death by her uncle, Brian Gessner. She is survived by her daughter, Madison Berry; ex-husband, Anthony Berry; mother, Lisa Gessner; dad, Jesse Gessner; grandma, Terrie Gessner; papa, Alan Gessner; grandma, Jan Gruber’ great-granny, Pauline Gessner; great-uncle, John Gessner; great-aunt, Lori Gessner; great-aunt, Georgia Gessner; great-uncle, Ed McIntee; great-aunt, Linda Seitz; great-uncle, Norman Seitz; aunt, Pam Guarisco Stone; aunt, Kara Gruber and aunt, Jennifer Dick and numerous cousins and friends.

“We love and miss you Kristen.”
