LININGERS: Wrong about police

In response to the Nov. 13 letter from the Liningers: You give thanks to veterans on one hand and spew venom with the other.

Chistie Wood is a veteran and served our community as a LEO with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department. I think she has earned our respect for all her public service.

You state that LEO’s in this town are “above the law and no accountability” and “paid-for executioners who shoot a kid for pleasure.”

I don’t believe for one second that law enforcement officers go out in our community and say, “Let’s see who we can shoot.” Your comments are filled with loathing and contempt for the very people who protect your rights.

I’m a 22-year military veteran and I don’t want nor accept your thanks for service.
