- A 3.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded Monday morning near Coulee City, Wash., by the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network. No damage was reported and no emergency calls related to the quake were made, according to Grant’s County Sheriff’s Office. The quake was approximately 3 miles deep.
- Coeur d’Alene residents will be able to let their voices be heard in regard to a recommendation to move forward with the proposed Health Corridor. A public hearing is on tonight’s City Council agenda so residents may address their council to discuss the proposed urban renewal district. The meeting begins at 6 p.m.
- Coeur d’Alene will hold a public hearing on the agreement between its City Council and the Parking Commission on their agreed-to seasonal pass for city and Kootenai County residents for a 2-hour parking period at McEuen and Memorial parks. Additionally, the proposal removes event parking on all events except the Fourth of July. Secured parking in the parking garage would drop from $75 to $50, while monthly parking garage passes would increase from $20 to $35. Coeur d’Alene residents would also be able to purchase annual McEuen and Memorial passes for $10, while other Kootenai County residents could buy the same passes for $20. The meeting begins at 6 p.m.
