Westside Pizza open in Post Falls

With a full menu of artisan pizzas, Westside Pizza is now open in Suite 1 of River City Center at 920 Highway 41 in Post Falls.

Owners Daniel and Kiley Lawson offer pizzas with all ingredients and sauces in optional sizes, appetizers, salads, sodas, calzones, pastries and desserts. The place seats 28 and does deliveries to Post Falls and Rathdrum.

Wake Up Call coffee opening on Fourth Street

“Great coffee and great customer service” is the motto of Wake Up Call, opening soon in a new building at 2517 N. Fourth St., the former location of the Taco Time building.

Options include many coffees, espressos, teas, sodas, shakes, smoothies, bottled drinks, pastries, baked goods, gift cards, hats, shirts, ice tumblers, travel mugs, ceramic mugs and cold-brew grunts. Services include deliveries to businesses and its drive-through window.

The company started about 16 years ago in Spokane Valley and has 10 locations. Chief is Christopher Arkoosh. Hours here are 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Phone 208-960-1768. Check www.wakeupcoffee.biz.

Jitterz Espresso joins Prairie food-truck court

Now with six locations, Jitterz Espresso has opened an outlet at 7795 Heartland Drive, which is in the Prairie Pavilion food-truck court.

With options of many beverages and treats, Jitterz offers happy-hour specials from its drive-through. Hours are 4:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Owner Laura Quast started the business in 2006 and will be adding a seventh place soon. Check Jitterz on Facebook.

- AutoZone is building a new place at Highway 54 and Sylvan Lane in Athol.

- A Burger King is under construction at 3827 N. Ramsey (just south of Kathleen).

- Coeur d’Alene Vision Source will move from 850 Ironwood to a new building at 3879 N. Schreiber Way in December.

- A new building for Idaho Central Credit Union is under construction at 1327 W. Appleway.

- Bi-Mart will open a new store in the former Stein’s Family Foods building at 16102 N. Highway 41 in Rathdrum.

- The former Burger King building at 216 Appleway has been sold to another fast-food vendor. Rumors are it’s Carl’s Jr., which would move.

- A new place in the northeast corner of U.S. 95 and Lancaster will be a Golden Glo Coffee Shop.

- Watch for an interesting development just north of the Government Way Safeway. The developers already have put in a cool water feature and evidently plan to have a coffee stand, car lot and rock shop.
