Area runners compete at Nike Northwest regionals

EAGLE — Timberlake High senior Logan Hunt was 136th out of 206 runners in the Elite Boys race at the Nike Northwest Regional Cross Country Championships, finishing in 16 minutes, 54 seconds at Eagle Island State Park on Saturday.

Post Falls sophomore Samantha Wood was 33rd in the girls championship race, finishing in 18:30.5, followed by Post Falls senior Sydney Shanahan in 35th (18:30.7).

In the boys open, Post Falls junior Brycen Kempton was 137th out of 1,224 in 17:08.1. Lake City senior Carter Gordon was 169th in 17:14.1.

Lake City junior Angelyca Chapman was 22nd out of 737 in the girls open race, finishing in 19:36.
