Fredrick V. LeClair III, 51

Fredrick Vincent LeClair III, “Freddie,” 51, of Hayden, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, after a brief illness. Freddie was born in San Bernardino, Calif., on Aug. 17, 1968, to his loving parents, LeeAnne and Fred LeClair. The family moved back to Hayden in 1974. Freddie attended Coeur d’Alene High School, where he was active in wrestling and football. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Idaho, where he majored in business administration.

After college, Freddie moved to Coeur d’Alene, where he excelled at real estate development and personally developed several well-known neighborhoods in Kootenai County. In his free time, he was an avid golfer and had previously lived on the golf course at Hayden Lake Country Club in a home he built himself. Freddie, like his parents, was also a dedicated Seahawks fan and attended many home games, collected a good amount of memorabilia, and he rarely missed the opportunity to watch a game if he couldn’t attend in person. Freddie was an accomplished gourmet chef as well, and never failed to impress at family gatherings with his edible creations.

He is survived by his loving parents, LeeAnne and Fred LeClair of Hayden; his son, Justin Tate LeClair of Washington; his sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Daniel Hedin of Coeur d’Alene; and numerous cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Fred and Anna LeClair and Mary Anne and Danny Dorazio; and recently, by his great-aunt, Donna Schaffer.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Freddie’s name to Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815 (www.hospiceofnorthidaho.org) or the Kootenai Humane Society, 11650 N. Ramsey Road, Hayden, ID 83835 (kootenai humanesociety.com).

Per Freddie’s wishes, there will be no services at this time, but a remembrance of life may be planned in the future. Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with final arrangements. Please visit Freddie’s online memorial and sign his guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
