Film Alliance Northwest, in partnership with Hayden Discount Theater, invites the community to enjoy a two-hour presentation of several silent-films with lectures and piano accompaniment.

Viewings of ‘The Great Train Robbery,’ ‘The Tramp’ and ‘A Broncho Billy Western’ will be presented and local film historian Larry Telles will discuss the origins of moving pictures. Happening at 7 p.m. on Nov. 19, admission is $3.

Open house to honor Edinger

The City of Coeur d’Alene is hosting a farewell open house for retiring City Councilmember Ron Edinger to celebrate his 50 years of public service, from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, at the Hagadone Event Center, 900 S. Floating Green Drive. For information call 208-666-5754.
