Sandra L. Meyer, 72
Sandra L. Meyer, 72, passed away Nov. 5, 2019, at Hospice of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene. Sandra was the wife of Edward Meyer; they shared 49 years of marriage together.
Sandi was born in Chicago, Ill., on April 2, 1947. She was the daughter of Raymond and Lorene Schulz. She spent her whole life as a Catholic Christian, loving and worshiping Jesus Christ and those He brought into her life. Sandi was a member Divine Mercy, through St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Upon her marriage to Edward on Sept. 19, 1970, they moved away from the western suburbs of Chicago to live in Southern California. There they spent the next 42 years, where Sandi worked as a microbiologist at Sharp Grossmont Hospital.
In 2012, Ed and Sandi moved to Coeur d’Alene to be close to their son and daughter-in-law, and their grandchildren, E.J. and Ember (the real reason for the move).
Sandi is survived by her spouse, Ed Meyer of Coeur d’Alene; her son, Michael Meyer of San Diego; her son, Chad Meyer and daughter-in-law, Rachel Meyer of Kellogg, Idaho; as well as her grandchildren, E.J. and Ember Meyer. She was preceded in death by both her parents and grandparents.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Pope St. Pius X Catholic Church, 623 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d’Alene, with a luncheon reception to follow in the adjoining room. Memorials can be made to the ALS Association, 19226 66th Ave S., Suite L105, Kent, WA 98032-2110.
