No time for an unglamorous cold
No matter where or how you catch a cold, there’s nothing festive about a bug that plugs your head and causes a major investment in aloe-infused tissues. A perky and positive friend told me this cold I seem to have brought back from my travels to Paris is rather glamorous. Hello? Have you seen me with bedhead in flannel PJs?
I don’t feel sick, just drug out and tired. I’ve gone out and about a few times but have limited incoming and outgoing hugs and handshakes. Last week an opportunity to meet and visit with Keith Morrison of Dateline fame brought me out from under the quilt. Then there was the Marine Corps Birthday Ball and all things Veterans Day.
I’m staying hydrated, going to bed early, getting up late and squeezing a nap in to boot. But a couple weeks of this and I’m so over it. Apologies for an abbreviated version of Main Street this week. I’ll practice gratitude and positive thinking and be back among the living soon!
