Grizzly Lodge hotel to open in Rathdrum

The Grizzly Lodge will open as a new hotel in Rathdrum in early 2020.

In the former liquor store building, the Grizzly will have eight rooms with queen, king and double-queen accommodations. Kevin Randles owns the place on Bingham and Highway 53 across from Dashco. Costs will be $70 to $100 a night with luxury decor and accessible to the newly opened Rathdrum Mountain.

Inland Botanical Body Bar opens in Post Falls

Specializing in natural health and wellness products, Inland Botanical Body Bar is open at 900 N. Highway 41 (next to Anytime Fitness) in Post Falls.

The store carries all handmade bath and body items including lotions, scrubs, bath bombs, soaps, Kraton and THC-frewe CBD oils, tinctures, topicals and pet products with more coming in early 2020.

As members of the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, they are collecting donations for new pajamas to benefit the OASIS program through the Post Falls Police Department with donations by Dec. 8 getting 5 percent off their in-store purchase.

- Watch for an interesting development just north of the Government Way Safeway. The developers already have put in a cool water feature and evidently plans to have a coffee stand, car lot and rock shop.

- This is my 50th military Veterans year. I was a journalist-public relations petty officer for the Coast Guard in San Francisco and Chicago. Quite an adventure for a tiny-town Montana lad.
