DRIVER: Assimilate into Idaho
This is to the angry man in the huge honking truck I met at the intersection of I-95 and Lancaster. It was a beautiful, cloudless, blue sky Idaho day and this gentleman was frothing at the mouth. He was screaming and shaking his fist at me. What was my indiscretion? After waiting for two huge dump trucks, I proceeded into the intersection. If it was not my turn and I was in error, please accept my apology.
Whatever, there was no reason for that amount of hate and vitriol. You scared me to death! Yes, I stopped dead in the intersection and stared. You could feel the hate rolling out of that truck.
If you recently moved to my Idaho, I ask that you please assimilate. Adopt the warm, human compassion that is so prevalent here in this beautiful state. Yes, I moved here also, in 1992 from Washington, D.C. Yes, it was a culture shock for sure. But I was happy to become an Idahoan.
I just leave you with one thought. WWJD?
