- Internet fiber company TDS, on behalf of the Family Promise of North Idaho, is collecting new winter hats and mittens from Nov. 11 to 16. Donations may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the TDS retail location, 2834 N. Ramsey Road, Suite 109, next to WinCo Foods.
- xCraft Enterprises, a local drone system builder that gained fame with a deal on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” has announced the appointment of legendary aviation and space pioneer Burt Rutan to its board of directors. Rutan, an aeronautical engineer will provide design and production expertise for commercial, industrial and defense applications.
- The U.S. Mint launched the America the Beautiful Quarters Program coin honoring Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area in Challis. The coin is the fifth and final quarter of 2019, and the program’s 50th coin. The site comprises rugged mountains and deep canyons. The reverse depicts a drift boat on a rushing river encompassed by trees and rocks.
