An early second-half goal by Ari Rumpler, assisted by Grant Schofield, kept the Timbers leading most of the game, but Tri-Cities came back in the final moments to win it 2-1. Grant Schofield and Caleb Krell had multiple saves as goalkeeper. Timbers have a chance to close out the season in first place with a win or tie on Saturday in Spokane. The Timbers played Saturday in Redmond, Wash., at Marymoor Park and won 4-2 against Crossfire Premier. Landon Lee scored the first goal. Cooper Prohaska scored the second off an assist from Stirling Roget. Bryce Allred scored the last two goals, with the third being a PK. Miles Taylor had four saves in goal. Sunday they played in Bellingham, Wash., at Phillips 66 Soccer Park against WFC Rangers Gold. Timbers goals were scored by Bryce Allred, Chet Hanna and two by Jayce Simmet. Bryce Allred and Landon Lee each assisted a goal. Miles Taylor had three saves. Kai Delio and Max Entzi each had one goal for the Timbers, and Gavin Samayoa and Kason Pintler each had an assist. The Timbers’ second game ended in a tie 2-2 against Sound FC. Connor Jump had one goal and one assist. Kai Delio had one goal. Braden Latscha was in goal for both Timbers games.
