The new set of condos sit near the entrance of the Cottage Grove gated community located just west of Highway 95.

A new set of townhome-style condominiums are under construction off Canfield Avenue just west of Highway 95 in the heart of Coeur d’Alene.

The first of five-planned buildings is moving along nicely at Grove Way, which leads into the entrance of the Cottage Grove gated community. There are three floor plans available for the development, named Copper Falls, with the first building tentatively set for completion in January, according to Bill Graves, a Realtor with Northwest Realty Group who represents the development.

“They’re two-story units in a farmhouse style with all modern touches,” Graves said. “It’s in a killer location.”

This particular stretch of Canfield is a quiet area, especially given its proximity to the highway. Towering trees, a few office buildings and the Cottage Grove gated community all contribute to the tranquil nature of the area. Plans to remove the traffic signal on Canfield at Highway 95 next year will also reduce through-traffic, Graves said.

They’re townhome-style condos in that the homes will not have above or below neighbors. There are two-bedroom floorplans, as well as a three-bedroom option, with units averaging about 1,550 square feet in size.

Units will incorporate stainless steel appliances, a stainless steel farm-style sink, quartz countertops, central air conditioning, hardiplank siding, landscaping and sprinkler system and more. Certain designs will also incorporate sliding barn doors in areas, as well as other in-demand farmhouse elements.

The development is the first in the area for Paramount Enterprises, a family-owned business that includes Dennis Crowley and his mother Bev Crowley. Dennis came to Coeur d’Alene about five years ago from Montana, where the family had a background in clothing manufacturing, as well as multi-family property management. They worked with Tim Wilson with Monument Architecture to create an upscale townhome-style feel to the development.

“We decided we wanted to do something that would be different for the market,” Dennis Crowley said. “We’re really excited about the fit and finish on them.”

Prices are set for the low $300,000s, with a two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom unit listed currently for just under $335,000. For more options and details on current availability, contact Bill Graves with Northwest Realty Group at 208-660-5671 or email Bill@nwidaho.com.
