St. Maries tripped up by New Plymouth in 2A playoffs
ST. MARIES — Kobe Roberts ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more as the New Plymouth Pilgrims beat the St. Maries Lumberjacks 33-15 in the opening round of the state 2A playoffs at St. Maries High on Friday.
Luie Rice ran for 96 yards for St. Maries, which finishes 5-4.
Coleman Ross scored on a 6-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7 in the first quarter for St. Maries.
Roberts ran for 141 yards and threw for 192 for New Plymouth (5-4), which faces North Fremont in the quarterfinals next weekend.
