Cheryl Dittman, 75
Cheryl Dittman, 75, of Twin Lakes Village, Idaho, passed away at home on Oct. 27, 2019. She was born Sept. 27, 1944, in Orem, Utah, where she graduated from Orem High School in 1962.
She married Gary S. Dittman on April 24, 1981. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Seattle Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Cheryl and Gary relocated from the Seattle area to Twin Lakes, in Northern Idaho, in 1994.
Cheryl loved the game of golf, watching movies, and being with friends and family (defined as whomever she was with). She will be remembered for her quirky sense of humor, her great love of baking and making everyone feel welcome.
Cheryl worked for many years for Albertsons, Washington Trust Bank and most recently, at the Coeur d’Alene Golf Resort.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her parents, Hazel and Leonard “Pete” Peterson; and her brother, Jan Peterson. She is survived by her and Gary’s seven children: Dirk (Shelly) Fanning, Eric (Barbara) Dittman, Cory Fanning, Kimberly Mattson, Aaron (Jani) Dittman, Drew (Pyper) Dittman and Quinn (Renee) Dittman; many grandchildren; and her three sisters: Karen Stevens, Vickie Murphy and Julie Allred.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lakeland Ward Building, 15151 N. Meyer Road, Rathdrum, ID 83858. Burial will follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815.
