Save the bees

The 2019 environmental documentary "The Pollinators" is coming to Coeur d'Alene.

The film explores the plight of a very important friend to humans: the honey bee.

Tens of billions of honey bees are transported back and forth from one end of the United States to the other in a unique annual migration that’s indispensable to the feeding of America. One out of every three bites humans eat, the growth of almost all fruits, nuts and vegetables, would be impossible without pollination from bees.

This new documentary feature, "The Pollinators," directed by Peter Nelson and produced by Sally Roy, Nelson and Michael Reuter, presents the fascinating and untold story. And warns that the bees are in serious danger.

"Pollinators" recently won the Rob Stewart Eco Warrior Award.

The film will show at Regal Riverstone Stadium 14 in Riverstone Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at https://tickets.demand.film/event/9080 for $11.54 with an additional booking fee of $1.95 per ticket.
