NOTES: Coeur d’Alene’s boys expect to challenge for a state title, Lake City’s boys are coming off their first regional title since 2001, and Timberwolf senior Cameron Johnson figures to contend for medalist honors. ... Coeur d’Alene returns four of its five players from last year’s state runner-up, and two of them, Brayden Ogle (third) and Jackson Davenport (10th), placed in the top 10. ... Rocky Mountain, the three-time defending state boys champion, shot 313 and finished fourth at last week’s District 3 tournament. Mountain View won with a 300, followed by Eagle at 307 and Boise at 308. ... Kyla Currie of Lake City tied for sixth in 5A girls last year, helping her Timberwolves finish sixth.

NOTES: Twin Falls’ boys have won seven state titles in the last eight years ... Twin Falls’ girls have won two of the last three state titles. ... Lakeland is coming off its third straight boys Region 1 title. Aden Sandlin, a member of last year’s Lakeland boys team that took seventh at state, was medalist last week at regionals. ... Lakeland’s girls finished fourth last year; Sydney Suko, Makayla Higbee and Madison Kelleher are back from that squad.

NOTES: Kellogg is the two-time defending state boys champion, but graduated everyone off last year’s state squad. Credit to the Wildcats and coach Simon Miller for churning out another district champion. ... Kellogg’s girls were third at state last year, after winning state titles in 2016 and ’17. ... The Wildcats produced this year’s district medalists in Kat Rauenhorst and her brother, Archie Rauenhorst. Kat Rauenhorst was third at state last year.

NOTES: Cole Valley Christian is the two-time defending state champion in both boys and girls. ... Lakeside’s girls return all four players from last year’s team that brought home a trophy by placing fourth at state, including Mia Pakootas, who finished 13th. ... Kadin Olson, a member of last year’s state team at St. Maries, was boys medalist at districts last week.
