TV: Another option for viewing

| May 5, 2019 1:00 AM

Here’s some info to help those who want to cut the cable cord:

I got an HD antenna for about what my cable bill for a month was. Forget the old “climb on the roof” way of using antennas that my grandparents had at what is now my home.

This one was incredibly easy to put in a window and the picture now fills the entire TV screen. The printed words are also much easier to read. Several local stores sell them, but I paid half the price with the one I got online.

If your TV is the old kind, like one of mine, you also need an HD converter box, also quite cheap. No more Spectrum. Can’t even remember how many calls and visits from the repair folks I’ve had, besides the day-long outages, since they took over from Time Warner. Check it out.
