Fast Five: Cassidy Bones

Meet Cassidy Bones, a local businesswoman and a sunshine-loving coffee enthusiast who is obsessed with her husband, her dog and "her people."

Generation: Definitely a millennial (and a proud one)!

Career and community involvement: Co-owner of Beyond Bones Chiropractic, co-founder of Ascension Consulting, co-founder of RONIN, vice president of Kootenai County Young Professionals, TEDx Coeur d'Alene Director of Awesomeness (that's my real title).

Parental status: Living through the Terrible 2s with our chocolate lab, Kila. Really, she's just found her bark and is being obnoxious about it, but is wonderful otherwise.

1. What drives you to be a community-connected professional?

From a very young age, I loved helping people and really glommed onto "leaving the world better than you found it," so being heavily involved in the community feels natural to me.

2. What are one or two contributions your generation is giving to the world, and where can more work be done?

WORK-LIFE BALANCE! I know there's really no such thing, but millennials are literally changing the way work is done and living much more balanced lives because of that. I would love to see more manners. I was raised by an overwhelmingly southern, military family so it's shocking to me how little courtesy seems to be out there.

3. What is one of your favorite North Idaho memories?

Meeting my husband. Corny? Maybe, but it's true.

4. What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I got kicked off the bus in the fifth grade for running a poker ring. My mom was both proud and livid.

5. If you could make a movie about your life, who would play you, and what would you name the film?

"Bulletproof." Scarlett Johansson.
