LIONS CLUB: Fundraiser a
huge success
The Coeur d’Alene Lions Club would like to thank all of those who supported and enjoyed our annual “Dinner in the Dark” fundraiser. The community and our sponsors made it a huge success.
This event allows sighted diners to experience what a sight-impaired individual may encounter while dining out. Blindfolds are provided to our guests and they were encouraged to wear the blindfolds during the event, or at least during the dinner hour. Of our 80 guests who attended, six diners wore their mask throughout the entire dining experience while dining on prime rib or chicken cordon bleu. Bibs were not included, but under consideration for our 2020 dinner.
Our guests had the opportunity to win one of many wonderful gifts either via a live auction or raffle. Donations received in support of this fundraiser contributed to this year’s event as being our most successful Dinner in the Dark thus far.
Thank you for sharing this experience with us and supporting the Coeur d’Alene Lions efforts to help those in our community. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this fundraiser, and all other monies donated, remain local and go toward helping many members of our community.
