Fredrick Badenhop, 61
On Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, Fredrick Badenhop, loving husband and devoted friend, passed away at the age of 61. Fred was born on Dec. 6, 1957, in Inglewood, Calif., to Melvin and Sue Badenhop.
Throughout his life, Fred was devoted to God. Some of Fred’s most cherished memories were during his teen years, when he spent his summers in Julian, Calif. as a Christian camp counselor. In his later years, he was a prominent part of several drama ministries in California and Spokane, Wash., where he made us laugh and cry while sharing the word of God.
In 1982, Fred began his 30-year career as a large corporation mail processor with Hughes Aircraft, in El Segundo, Calif., where he shared his smile with hundreds of people every day — a practice he continued until his retirement due to illness from Pitney Bowes, in July of 2013.
In August of 1985, Fred married Debby Bell. They lived a happy and adventurous life for the next 33 years. Fred was known for his quick wit and an undying passion for his favorite football team. He loved music, reading the Bible and playing his favorite video game, Uncharted.
Fred is survived by his wife; his brother, William and his sisters, Carolyn and Patricia. Not being blessed with children himself, Fred was very close to his numerous nieces and nephews; he loved them all as his own children.
A memorial service in celebration of Fred’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday July 13, 2019, at North Country Chapel (little stone chapel), 2281 W. Seltice Way, Post Falls, ID 83854.
