LaVonda ‘Babe’ Gladding Crothers, 83

LaVonda ‘Babe’ Gladding Crothers, 83, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away peacefully June 11, 2019, at Hospice of North Idaho.

Babe was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Gladding, and her father, Clarence Gladding. Babe is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald Crothers; four children: Jeff Crothers, Vicky Philips, Brad Crothers and Michael Crothers and their spouses, Judy Crothers, Ty Philips, Carol Sellars and Kathy Winter; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.

Babe was born on March 20, 1936, in Coeur d’Alene; she went to Coeur d’Alene High School. Babe met her husband and soul mate on a summer night in 1963, in Stateline, Idaho. She worked as a cashier and bookkeeper until she retired.

Babe was a very selfless and loving person who was loved by everyone who knew her. She was her husband’s best friend, confidant and the love of his life. She was always the go-to person for anything and everything for her family and friends. She always put everybody else’s needs before her own. She was a true angel.

Babe loved tending to her garden and flowers and was a master at it. She has lived in many places and touched many lives throughout her life. She was a true friend, an amazing mother and a loving wife. She will be missed very much.
