Idaho Super Hunts
Fourteen Idaho hunters were among the 27 hunters who were drawn for a Super Hunt tag in Idaho to target elk, deer, pronghorn and moose this year.
Five Idaho hunters drew Super Hunt deer tags and pronghorn tags, and four Idaho hunters drew a Super Hunt elk tag, according to information released this week.
Super Hunts tags allow hunters to take part in any hunt in the state for deer, elk, pronghorn or moose, including general hunts and controlled hunts. Hunters with a Super Hunt tag can also purchase an additional general season or controlled hunt tag. All other rules of individual hunts apply.
Of the 66,116 entries in the first drawing, 24,548 were for the eight available deer tags, 21,545 were for eight available elk tags, 4,841 were for eight available pronghorn tags, 9,706 were for one moose tag, and 5,476 entries were for one Super Hunt Combo, which includes a tag for each of the four species.
A Utah hunter was drawn for this year’s Super Hunt Combo. The combo allows the hunter to hunt any of the Super Hunt species. Winners of the second drawing will be notified by Aug. 20.
