Patricia ‘Pat’ Ann (Price) Sheldon, 81

Patricia “Pat” Ann (Price) Sheldon, 81, of Laurel, Mont., passed away on June 15, 2019, from pulmonary fibrosis, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Anna and Oren Price, on Aug. 15, 1937, in Laurel.

Pat graduated from Laurel High School in 1955. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Gene Sheldon, on June 5, 1959. They had just recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her husband; her children, Gregory Sheldon of Arvada, Colo., Janet Sheldon (Wallis Adams) of Anchorage, Alaska, Daniel (Joni) Sheldon of Arvada, Dennis Sheldon of Hammond, La., and Burt Sheldon of Denver, Colo. She is also survived by her sister, Orene (Price) LaFortune (late Edward) of Westminster, Mass., and her brother, Kenneth (Sandra) Price of Corvallis, Mont. She had three grandchildren: Ashley, Jonathan and Brandon, all of the Denver area, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat worked as a bank teller and bookkeeper in Laurel, Billings and Missoula for eight years following graduation, and later at the Post Falls Public Library for 12 years. She had what she referred to as her “25 year maternity leave” between working.

She lived in Idaho (Kooskia, Orofino and Post Falls) for 33 years, eventually returning to her much-loved Montana. She retired to Red Lodge, where she and her husband built a house which they later sold and returned to Laurel.

Pat was a kind, gentle soul with a shy smile. She was proud to be a strong Montana girl. She loved to travel in their small motorhome, to camp and enjoy National Parks and the outdoors. She had driven to 49 states (minus Hawaii).

Pat was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held in the fall. Condolences may be left online at www.cfgbillings.com.
