Twin Lakes Village Scholarship Committee awarded four $1,500 scholarships this year to graduating seniors in the Lakeland School District. There were 24 applications from all three schools in the district this year.

Justin Wilfong, a Timberlake High School graduate, will attend North Idaho College to obtain his degree in Medical Resonance Imaging.

Jessica Schell, also a Timberlake High School graduate, will attend North Idaho College to obtain her degree in dentistry.

McKenzie Ahrnobrak, a Lakeland High School graduate, will attend the University of Idaho to obtain her degree in dietetics.

Amanda Rohde, also a Lakeland High School graduate, will attend North Idaho College to obtain her degree in science.

Students applying for the Twin Lakes Village Scholarship must attend a college, university or vocational school in Idaho. The applications are read and scored using a rubric on financial need, cumulative grade point average and an essay, as well as community and school activities. The final seven students were then interviewed by the Twin Lakes Village Scholarship Committee.

The four recipients are also required to attend a Twin Lakes Village Board meeting and introduce themselves to the community.

Money for the scholarships is raised by donations to Twin Lakes Village Scholarship Fund (which is administered by Lakeland Education Foundation), memorial contributions from Twin Lakes Village residents, raffle basket sales, clothing boutique sales, yard sales and various other money making projects through the efforts of the activities committee members and individuals.
