McGrath convicted in child rape case

A jury deliberated for approximately 90 minutes today before finding 32-year-old Corey S. McGrath guilty of lewd and lascivious conduct for molesting a 5-year-old girl.

Because McGrath was charged with a felony sex offense in two separate cases, he faces another jury trial for molesting a 12-year-old.

McGrath, who infected the 5-year-old with gonorrhea, faces up to life in prison. McGrath’s girlfriend, Emilie M. Barker, 30, was also convicted and sentenced to three years behind bars and 12 years indeterminate for attempting to cover up McGrath’s crime.
