Lums double down Lewis-Clark, then see nine-game win streak snapped in nightcap
LEWISTON — The doubles for the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen were trouble for the Lewis-Clark Twins in the opening game of a North Idaho League doubleheader at Harris Field on Tuesday.
Jake Brown had four doubles and three RBIs for the Lums in a 16-7 win over the Twins in the first game. Alex Karns had two doubles, Dylan Brum and Landen Thompson one double each for the Lums, who led 6-2 after three innings. Riley Smith walked five times and scored three runs in the win.
In the nightcap, Thompson and Quinn Conces had hits for the Lums in an 11-0 loss to the Twins to see their nine-game win streak end.
Coeur d’Alene (12-5-1, 7-1 NIL) faces Baden 19U at Colfax High on Thursday at 3 p.m.
Lewis-Clark (6-6, 1-1) hosts Prairie today at 5 in a league doubleheader.
