Courtesy photo The Timbers North FC ’04 Boys Red soccer team competed at the US Youth Soccer Far West President’s Cup in Norco, Calif., last week. In group play they defeated Arizona 2-1 with goals scored by Kohrt Weber-1, Noah Janzen-1 and an assist by Tyler Gasper-1. The Timbers then lost 2-0 to Colorado. The Timbers then faced the eventual tournament champions Nevada and lost 2-1. Kohrt Weber scored the lone goal for the Timbers. The Timbers advanced to the quarterfinals on points where they faced Southern California, falling 3-2. Timbers goals were scored by Alex Reyes-2. SELECT BASEBALL

Coeur City Norsemen 12U 11, Hermiston 7: At Hermiston, Ore., Harrison Evans went 3 for 4 and drove in three runs to lead the Norsemen on Saturday.

Kolby Coey hit a two-run single in the fifth inning for Coeur City, and Dylan Sutich went 2 for 2 and scored twice.

Coeur City Norsemen 12U 4, Team TBD 4, tie: Evans went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a run scored for the Norsemen.

Coeur City Norsemen 12U 2, Pendleton Black Sox 0: Harrison Evans struck out 12 and pitched a three-hit shutout in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday at Pendleton, Ore. Clayton Kennedy went 2 for 3 for the Norsemen.

Pendleton Black Sox 6, Coeur City Norsemen 12U 3: In the second game, Evans went 3 for 3, drove in two runs and scored one for Coeur City.
