CHRISTIANS: The persecution complex

| June 19, 2019 1:00 AM

I have a response to the “Persecution of Christians …” interview article of Jim Korver written by Bob Shillingstad, June 15.

Common knowledge and experience says “what goes around, comes around.”

By the close of the Indian Wars in the late 19th century, Christian institutions and disease led to fewer than 238,000 indigenous people remaining, from the estimated 5 million to 15 million living in North America when Columbus arrived in 1492.

The WW II Christian Nazis killed 6 million Jews.

I do not support or encourage revenge, but history usually demonstrates trends in that direction. Support for diversity, education, reason and communication have always been the preferred preventative tools against atrocities and genocide.

I wish Mr. Korver good luck in saving his fellow Christians internationally.
