- A wet spring and cooler temperatures will likely mean a later start for forest fires this year, but rangeland fires could be a problem as grasses dry out, Bryan Henry of the National Interagency Fire Center said Tuesday. In Coeur d’Alene, the state has two helicopters, a single-engine air tanker and an amphibious water scooper on hand to fight fires.

- East Third Avenue at Spokane Street in Post Falls will be closed Tuesday through Friday for construction. Follow detour signs. West Selway Avenue to South Moyie Street to South Lochsa Street to South Clearwater Loop and back up to West Selway will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday for a bicycle race in Riverbend Commerce Park. Detour signs and flaggers will direct traffic.

- Kootenai Electric Cooperative is currently experiencing technical difficulties with their phone system. They are urging customers to download the Smart Hub app or use their online accounts to make payments while they work to resolve the issue.
