Three injured in highway crash

Three people are reported injured after a two-vehicle crash on I-90, eastbound near Pleasantview Road in Post Falls on Tuesday.

Sandra L. Bodak, 59, of Rathdrum, was reportedly driving a 2007 GMC Sierra when Margaret J. Hyatt, 80, of Nelson, British Columbia, moved from th e right shoulder into the eastbound lane in front of Bodak. The vehicles collided and Hyatt’s vehicle, a 2012 Hyundai SantaFe, came to rest in the eastbound lanes of I-90, while Bodak’s vehicle came to rest in the median.

The roadway was blocked by Hyatt’s vehicle for approximately 30 minutes, according to police.

Hyatt, Bodak, and the passenger in Bodak’s vehicle, Breanna A. Bodak, 20, of Rathdrum, Idaho, were all transported by ambulance to Kootenai Health.

All people involved in the crash were reportedly wearing seatbelts and alcohol is not a factor.
