- The public is invited to a dedication of Tullamore Park from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Friday at at 3673 E. Bogie Ave, Post Falls. The dedication will begin at 5:30, followed by a performance by the Lake City Highland Dancers and music from 7 to 9. The movie "Despicable Me 3" will be shown at 9:15 p.m. There will also be lawn games and a bounce house. Information: 208-773-0539

- A public hearing will be held during tonight’s Coeur d’Alene City Council meeting to discuss the possible annexation of Kootenai County land on Hanley Road, just south of the Hawk’s Nest subdivision. John Hern is proposing to convert the land to commercial use. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Community Room.

- Idahoans for a Fair Wage is organizing a signature drive to place an initiative on the ballot to raise Idaho’s minimum wage to $8.75 and then increase it another dollar a year for the next two years. After four years, the wage would be set at $12 an hour, after which increases would be tied to the consumer price index. Idaho lawmakers haven’t raised the minimum wage in a decade.
