At least we can count
This just in: Our fair city came in fifth.
Well, sort of.
ChamberofCommerce.org -- a web site unaffiliated with the actual U.S. Chamber of Commerce and also unconnected to any of our area Chambers of Commerce -- has named Coeur d’Alene the fifth-best Idaho city.
The site, which we’re going out of our way not to call clickbait trash, had a hard time with the numbering on its own ranking, as you can see. That’s troubling for a study that purported to do a legitimate big-data dive on 2,500 U.S. cities with more than 25,000 residents.
Moscow, for those of you keeping score at home, came in first. The study purportedly took employment, housing, quality of life, education and health into account. Whether the ability to count higher than four mattered could not be ascertained.
