Local golf update: Derek Bayley

KELOWNA, British Columbia — Derek Bayley of Rathdrum shot a 1-under 70 on Sunday and finished in a tie for 42nd at the Mackenzie Tour’s (PGA Tour Canada) GolfBC Championship at Gallagher’s Canyon Golf & Country Club.
He earned $812.
Bayley, the former Lakeland High and Washington State standout, shot a 4-under 280 for the tournament. It was his third event on the Mackenzie Tour, and his second cut made.
Jake Knapp shot a 63 on the final day for a 20-under 264 and a 1-stroke victory. Greyson Sigg carded the second 59 in Mackenzie Tour history.
