Prairie runs past Northern Lakes

RATHDRUM — Matt Fleming and Nick Chase drove in three runs each for Prairie, which used an 8-run top of the fourth inning to pull away from the Northern Lakes Mountaineers 15-4 in a class AA North Idaho League game at Gorton Field on Tuesday.

Brock Zeller, Spencer Zeller and Fleming scored three runs each for Prairie (2-6-1, 1-0 NIL), which faces the Spokane Cannons on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Harris Field in Lewiston in the Dwight Church Memorial tournament.

Nicholas Welch had three hits and an RBI for Northern Lakes (1-4, 0-3), which faces Coeur d’Alene in a doubleheader on Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m. at Thorco Field.
