Briefly Noted

- Diamond Parking reported a 33 percent jump in revenue in May. Company representatives reported to the Coeur d’Alene Parking Commission they collected $99,069 in May, up from $74,152 in May of 2018.

- Bill Greenwood, Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Coeur d’Alene, asked the City’s General Services Commission to extend their agreement with Thorco over naming rights at the Ramsey Park ballfield. The commission will recommend at the next council meeting that the facility to continue to be called Thorco Field.

- High school exchange students need local host families this fall. Students speak English and arrive with the appropriate visa, medical insurance and spending money. - U.S. Sen. Jim Risch named Bryson Wong legislative assistant in his Washington, D.C., office. Wong will primarily focus on energy issues and matters involving the Idaho National Lab. Wong previously was the American Public Power Association’s director of government relations.
