- The Coeur d’Alene General Services Committee will recommend 24 new police radios at the City Council meeting June 18. The cost of the new radios — 20 for officers, four for vehicles — as well as charging equipment, totals $116,797 and would replace some of the outdated equipment in the department’s inventory.

- The Coeur d’Alene Symphony will present “Magical Movie Music,” including music from SayRoar’s upcoming animated film, “The Goldfish Project,” on Wednesday. The event, conducted by Jan Pellant and featuring selections from Thomas Bergersen and Isaac Murcar, begins at 6:30 p.m. at The Coeur d’Alene Resort’s Conference Center.

- The Panhandle Parks Foundation offers a unique way to memorialize loved ones: an etching in the granite of the McEuen Park Donor Wall or a park bench marked with a memorial plaque. The deadline to purchase an inscription to be added this summer is July 5, but contributions to the donor wall are accepted year-round. Info: www.panhandleparks.org.

- Local teens will explore aviation and aerospace career possibilities on Thursday and Friday at the Aviation Career Exploration Academy at the NIC Aerospace Center in Hayden. This is the program’s second year.
