- Caleb M. Furbee, 25, was booked into the Kootenai County Jail on charges he transmitted child pornography. The U.S. Marshals Service, FBI, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office all assisted the Idaho Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.
- North Idaho Christian was selected as an Amazon Future Engineer school, a curriculum partnership sponsored by the retailer to improve computer science education. By 2020, 1.4 million computer-science-related jobs will be available with only 400,000 graduates with the skills to apply for them.
- Parker Toyota is giving bikes and helmets on Sunday to graduating elementary students in the Coeur d’Alene, Lakeland and Post Falls school districts who had perfect attendance this year. Hundreds of local students have earned bikes since the program’s inception in 2005.
- Lake City Public Library, in Lake City High School, will begin its noon to 5 p.m. summer schedule June 10. The library will be closed for construction June 12 to 14.
