Blessing of the Bikes set for Sunday at Cd'A City Park

COEUR d'ALENE — Three local churches invite the public to the free Blessing of the Bikes at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coeur d'Alene City Park's covered picnic area.

Bicyclists can have their bikes prayed over and blessed before riding on the Centennial Trail to Riverstone Park for root beer floats. Riders will also receive a special license plate.

Participating churches are First Presbyterian, Trinity Lutheran and Community Presbyterian.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

This is the third year of the event. About 100 riders have participated in past years.
