'The History of Country Music' coming to Coeur d'Alene
Country music is a uniquely American art form. On June 15 at 7 p.m., “The History of Country Music” is coming to the Lake City Center. This show presents live music performances, along with historical anecdotes, from the first 50 years of country music — from 1927 through 1977. It features more than 30 songs by greats like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and many more!
“The History of Country Music” was conceived and written by Rusty Jackson, a singer songwriter who plays more than 100 dates a year, throughout the western U.S. He is joined on this show by Jacque Jolene and a full backing band.
The show is sponsored by the Inland Northwest Country Music Association. The IN-CMA promotes country music in the region and has recently sponsored the local awards show and a Merle Haggard Tribute show in Spokane.
