Summer camp lineup for Cd'A Summer Theatre

| June 7, 2019 1:00 AM

Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre is offering summer theater camps for kids and teens, with brief performances at the end of each week to showcase the students work.

Unlike many other theater camps, students will spend in-depth time learning teamwork and theater skills as opposed to prepping frantically for a “show” at the end of the week. This approach is modeled after some of the most highly-regarded youth theater development programs in the country and allows each student to develop skills as thoroughly as possible.

“I’ve gone to CST summer camp for three years, and I’ve loved every moment of it! It’s a great way to spend your summer,” said Ben DeWitt about the teen camps.

His brother, Owen said “CST summer camps are the best theater summer camps that I have gone to. They are a great way to make friends and have good summer fun.”

In addition to a week of camp, kids will receive a free ticket to any show this summer season, including Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” “Oklahoma!” or “Smokey Joe’s Cafe.”

Each camp is taught by professionals, including many familiar faces to the Coeur d’Alene audiences. The teachers include Jesse Hampsch, Aimee Paxton, Elaina DeJong and Kynzie Washington.
